Where does my client’s information sit during the assessment?
On your own machine. The application runs in the browser, the working state is saved to a file and read back in. There is no transfer to any service run by the provider and no user account with the provider. Whether that is sufficient for your own professional or contractual obligations is for you to assess.
How does the application separate several engagements?
In the offline edition the file system separates them: one project file per engagement, which you can store, back up and hand over. An interface with separate workspaces per client and a review workflow only exists in the connected setup. Anyone who needs a client-separated interface needs that edition.
What does the application cost, and does it charge per engagement?
The Professional edition costs €2,490 once per named-user licence and does not charge per engagement or per year. It is the edition intended for client engagements; the free Community Edition does not cover paid consulting or client assessments under its licence. Adaptation to your own brand and methodology starts at €12,900 in the Enterprise edition.
On what basis does the application assess?
On a catalogue of 52 threats with 486 documented mappings drawn from 21 primary sources and seven frameworks, plus 62 EU AI Act obligations with a legal reference for each entry. The catalogue version and the legal status appear on every output. A client can trace every statement back to its source.
Can I use the application under my own brand?
Yes, but only from the enterprise edition onwards, which starts at €12,900. It allows brand, language and appearance to be adapted and your own catalogues and assessment models to be integrated. For an individual this is normally not a sensible step; the professional edition offers the same depth without your own branding.
How do I keep the legal status current across several engagements?
The obligations compass carries the legal status of Regulation (EU) 2026/1744 and marks for each obligation whether that amendment affects it. The timeline calculates the eight dates against today. For every engagement you can see which deadline comes next, without maintaining the dates yourself.
Do I need an internet connection when working at the client site?
No. The offline edition is built for this and runs in protected environments without network access: a single file you bring along and open locally.
What does the application explicitly not do in an engagement?
It does not provide legal advice and makes no decision on an individual case. It offers no time tracking and no engagement management. It does not check whether your professional obligations are met. And in the offline edition it provides no client-separated interface; separation happens through files.
