Glossary Control and oversight
Monitoring and logging
Observes operation; logs record selected events.
What is Monitoring and logging?
Monitoring examines operational signals such as errors, response quality, unusual access or model changes. Logging records events and provides data for this work. A large volume of logs alone does not establish effective monitoring.
Define thresholds, responsibilities and responses. Also check which sensitive content enters logs and how access and retention are limited.
