Anonymisation and pseudonymisation
Removing identifiability differs from replacing identifiers.
What is Anonymisation and pseudonymisation?
With pseudonymisation, data cannot be attributed directly to a person without separately held additional information. Anonymisation instead requires that people are no longer identifiable using means reasonably likely to be used.
Removing names alone is insufficient: combinations of text, location or events can identify people. Assess remaining identifiability in context, including embeddings and model outputs.
