Glossary Systems and architecture
System boundary
Defines which components, data flows and responsibilities are included in the review.
What is System boundary?
The system boundary describes the scope of a review: for example the chat interface, model provider, document retrieval, connected tools and human approvals. External services can be part of the reviewed workflow even when another organisation operates them.
Also record the interfaces: which data leaves the system, who receives outputs and where actions can be triggered. Explain exclusions so that relevant dependencies do not disappear from the review.
