Glossary Control and oversight
Sandbox and execution isolation
A restricted environment for running code or tools.
What is Sandbox and execution isolation?
A sandbox restricts which files, networks and other resources a process may access. For AI agents it can limit the consequences of faulty or manipulated tool calls.
Test the boundaries actually enforced, including network destinations, file access and execution budgets. A container or test mode is not automatically an adequately isolated sandbox.
